We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and hands-on General Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of operations at DORA Jungle Living, our one-of-a-kind retreat center nestled in the lush jungles of Mexico. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of our hospitality business, which focuses on hosting transformational group retreats and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
As the General Manager, you will spearhead operations, elevate service excellence, and drive the business's growth while embodying the values of community, sustainability, and personal transformation that define DORA Jungle Living.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Development:
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business goals, ensuring the retreat center operates profitably and sustainably.
Identify opportunities to enhance guest offerings, diversify revenue streams, and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Collaborate with ownership to align operational strategies with the company’s vision and long-term growth objectives.
2. Operational Oversight:
Supervise all daily operations, including accommodations, housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, and wellness facilities.
Ensure smooth execution of retreat programs, coordinating with retreat organizers to meet their specific needs.
Maintain high operational standards by implementing efficient workflows, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sustainability practices.
3. Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team of staff, fostering a culture of excellence, respect, and accountability.
Recruit, train, and mentor team members, empowering them to deliver exceptional guest experiences aligned with DORA Jungle Living’s values.
Conduct performance evaluations, set team goals, and implement staff development programs.
4. Financial Management:
Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring profitability while maintaining operational quality.
Monitor expenses, control costs, and optimize resource allocation without compromising guest satisfaction.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to ownership.
5. Guest Experience Excellence:
Create and uphold service protocols to ensure consistent, high-quality interactions across all touchpoints.
Act as the primary point of contact for VIP guests, retreat organizers, and other key stakeholders.
Gather and respond to guest feedback, continuously improving the overall experience.
6. Sustainability & Community Integration:
Champion sustainable practices in daily operations, including waste reduction, eco-friendly sourcing, and energy efficiency.
Build relationships with local suppliers, artisans, and community members to strengthen ties with the region.
Promote cultural sensitivity and encourage guests to engage meaningfully with the local environment and community.
7. Marketing & Branding Support:
Work with the marketing team to promote DORA Jungle Living as a premier retreat destination.
Represent the brand at events, trade shows, and within the local tourism network.
Ensure that all guest-facing materials and interactions align with the brand’s mission and vision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Minimum 7 years in hospitality management, with a proven track record in resorts, retreat centers, or boutique hospitality businesses preferably in Latin America
Leadership Skills: Exceptional team-building, leadership, and motivational skills with the ability to inspire a team in a high-touch environment.
Operational Expertise: Strong operational acumen with experience in managing complex hospitality operations.
Cultural Fit: Passion for wellness, sustainability, and community, with a deep respect for local culture and traditions.
Communication: Fluent in English and Spanish, with outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
Financial Acumen: Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and guest-centric Assistant General Manager to help deliver unforgettable experiences at DORA Jungle Living, our retreat center in the heart of the Mexican jungle.
Our retreat center is unlike traditional hotels—it is a sanctuary for wellness, transformation, and personal growth. In this role, you will take the lead in ensuring every guest’s journey is seamless, enriching, and deeply aligned with the center’s mission of community and connection. You will work closely with the General Manager and retreat organizers to bring our vision of extraordinary hospitality to life.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
1. Guest Experience Excellence:
Be the primary ambassador for DORA Jungle Living, welcoming guests warmly and ensuring their needs are met throughout their stay.
Oversee all aspects of the guest journey, from arrival to departure, ensuring a personalized and memorable experience.
Act as the go-to contact for guests, addressing questions, resolving concerns, and exceeding expectations at every opportunity.
2. Tailored Retreat Hospitality:
Collaborate closely with retreat organizers to understand their specific needs, ensuring room setups, wellness activities, and dietary requirements align with their vision.
Coordinate special touches, such as personalized welcome notes, curated itineraries, and unique experiences that delight guests.
Facilitate seamless execution of retreat schedules, ensuring workshops, sessions, and other events run smoothly.
3. Enhance the Jungle Experience:
Curate moments of wonder for guests, incorporating the natural beauty of the jungle into their stay through guided walks, cultural experiences, or tranquil relaxation spaces.
Promote authentic connections to local culture, introducing guests to community traditions, flavors, and stories.
Advocate for sustainability, sharing eco-friendly practices and the center’s commitment to preserving its lush environment.
4. Guest Feedback & Continuous Improvement:
Regularly engage with guests to gather feedback, recognizing what they loved and identifying areas for enhancement.

5. Support Leadership in Guest-Focused Operations:
Work closely with the General Manager to maintain an environment that prioritizes guest satisfaction.
Oversee guest-facing services such as check-ins, dining experiences, and wellness programs to ensure they are smooth and welcoming.

QUALIFICATIONS
Hospitality Experience: 5+ years in guest-facing roles, ideally in boutique hotels, retreat centers, or high-touch hospitality environments.
Guest-Centric Mindset: A natural talent for anticipating guest needs, making them feel seen, heard, and cared for.
Interpersonal Skills: Warm, empathetic, and able to build rapport easily with guests from diverse backgrounds.
Problem Solver: Calm under pressure and resourceful in resolving guest concerns with grace and efficiency.
